Dr. Dre’s 20-Year-Old Son Found Dead

The son of legendary hip hop figure Dr. Dre was found dead in his Woodland Hills, Ca home over the weekend. Andre Young Jr., 20, was unconscious when his mother came to check on him around 10:30am Saturday morning. His mother said that he was out with friends the night and reported hearing him come home around 5:30am and that she heard him in his room. An autopsy was conducted on Andre Young’s body on Monday, but a cause of death has not yet been determined, pending the toxicology report.

It was initially unknown if this was in fact Dre’s son but a rep for Dre confirmed this in a statement on Monday. A spokesperson for Dr. Dre issued the following statement: “Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young Jr. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
